Department of Nutrition Science offering fall cooking series to the public

The Department of Nutrition Science this fall is offering hands-on cooking classes featuring healthy foods.

All classes are interactive and include instruction, hands-on cooking, tasting of all recipes, and a recipe booklet to take home.

Two sessions are being offered for each topic; participants should sign up for only one. Classes scheduled for this fall are:

  • Sept. 10, 11: Best Tailgating Dishes
  • Sept. 24, 25: How to Pack a Lunch You Will Want to Eat
  • Oct. 15, 16: Comfort Food Reimagined
  • Oct. 29, 30: Vegetable Dishes You Will Fall For
  • Nov. 12, 13: Rethink Thanksgiving Leftovers
  • Dec. 3, 4: Get Your Holiday Party Started

Participants must be 18 or older to attend a cooking workshop. Classes will be held 5:30-7:30 p.m. in Lyles-Porter Hall Demonstration Kitchen, Room 1107. Parking is available in the Harrison Street Parking Garage right next to Lyles-Porter Hall. Participants should take a ticket as they enter and ask the class instructor to validate it.
